Hi,
I understand your concern regarding your open wounds in your feet and rabies. If there is any doubt, I recommend that you check with your doctor for proper evaluation. It would help to know also if the dog is well or any history of vaccination for the dog. Take care and do keep us posted.
Hi!
Well, in rare cases, an animal can spread the virus when its saliva comes in contact with a person's mucous membranes (moist skin surfaces, like the mouth or inner eyelids) or broken skin such as a cut, scratch, bruise, or open wound.
However, unless the saliva fell on the open wounds or the puppy licked you at the open wounds, you cannot catch rabies because a puppy jumped on you.
Hope this helps. Take care!
