Swollen Glands

Sorry about the forum choice, not sure where this should go.

My cheek glands have swollen up, left one first but the right one is starting to come through. Just woke up with the left one, it was quite painful. It has eased off but it still noticeably painful, hurts to chew and open my jaw wide.

I've read one article, it said usually occurs during an infection, but other than the glands I am A-OK. It also said it rarely can be cancerous.

It said if it springs up for no apparent reason see a doctor, I will but any clues, any thing to ease some slight worry? Cheers

hI;  are the swollen glands behind the ears on each side of the neck? or you mentioned cheeks.  If so it could be TMJ  but if behind your ears it could also be your salivary glands.  See, if they become swollen more often. mention it to your doctor.  There is a disease of the salivary glands call sjogrens syndrome.  I pray you do not have that.  Love and Light Elena
