My 14 year old daughter has been experiancing shortness of breath, dizzyness, migrains, left sided lower lung pain(no cough) She has had x-rays bloodwork examined by 3 different doctors and this has been going on for a month. All tests came back normal. She is currently not on any medication and has no allergies to meds. I am at a loss and frustrated .
Welcome to the forum!
There is a possibility that there is compression of the spinal nerves at varying levels. This can be possible in ankylosing spondylitis or rheumatoid arthritis. An improper curvature of the spine or wrong posture too can cause this. Anemia too can cause shortness of breath, headache and lung or chest pain. To detect anemia apart from hemoglobin, iron levels should also be tested. Low ferritin too can be the cause apart from low hemoglobin.
The other possibility is too much anxiety and strain maybe over studies or something at school or between friends.
Asthma like conditions is another cause that should be explored. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Do discuss this with her doctor.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
My daughter went through the exact same thing at 15. She still is experiencing problems and is almost 18. My 19 year old daughter seems to be having symptoms like these, although she feels like she is no longer herself and has a hard time explaining the feeling. She says she feels 'stupid' or perhaps 'dumb'. Both my daughters have not been themselves since they came down with some sort of flu or illness with flu like symptoms. I do not know, but I do know they both have trouble concentrating and have had personality changes since. Hard to explain. The symptoms come and go.
