comprehensive metabolic test results

Hi,
Certain results in my test are creatinine 1.04, carbon dioxide 17, potassium level came back 6.9, but the results are questionable because the specimen was possibly contaminated, normal egfr 82 for african american. Also,  microcytosis. Not sure what all this could mean. Should I worry about these results and should I retest the potassium levels?

Hi,
I understand your concern regarding your laboratory test results. For proper evaluation, it is best that you discuss the results with your attending physician. Your medical history, symptoms present and results of other diagnostic tests are important considerations also. And if there is risk of contamination, re-testing may be indicated. Take care and do keep us posted.
