i don't know what's wrong with my finger

i got a cut on my finger last tuesday. after that, my finger has been bumpy, hot to the touch, and itchy. it looks pretty normal, but i have noticed that my skin has turned hard (sort of like a callus) and i have no idea what's wrong with it. i'm scared that it's dying skin and that my finger needs to be cut off or something (drastic, i know) :( i also can't bend it very well.
