vaginal redness/possible eczema

I want to know if there is anything i can do about my vagina being really itchy. There is no odor or discharge differences. all i know is it is red and my paps are normal. The redness is covering the whole area and it is very hard not to scratch. I am using vagisil pain and itch cream and it helps for about 15 minutes but that's all. I need help! Please can anyone help me with this? Im 22 and i have yet to understand certain things about myself and this is one of them. It has been like this for 6 months. Thanks

Going dairy free really helped me with vaginal issues, it stopped all my itching and also i only use a gentle cleanser called cetaphil in the shower to wash.
I'm trying to spread the word about goING dairy free as I have been struggling with this for years and finally this has stopped it

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
How are you? It is good that the pap smear was normal. Itchiness may be brought about by irritation, allergic reaction, infection and skin conditions such as eczema, as you mentioned in your post. Let us try to rule out irritation or allergic reaction also by noting the possible triggers that could lead to the vaginal itching. I know it is easier said than done, but try to avoid scratching to prevent secondary bacterial infection. If it has been 6 months already, you may also benefit from further evaluation by your gynecologist or dermatologist. Take care and do keep us posted.
