Hi - I had my tram flap done in July of 2007 - the area is still numb and hurts sometimes. I had to have a complete hysterectomy and my surgeon said it was a mess in there - I had a 15cm cyst wrapped in the mesh. It seems like with a tram-flap you kind of trade one problem for another - I started with implants at the same time as my mastectomy - in retrospect - I think it was a bad idea. I wish I would have gotten through one thing before starting another.  Good Luck
