Bleeding a week after colonoscopy

Is it normal to have a large amount of dark blood in diarrhea a week following a colonoscopy with biopsies taken?
I have had an abnormal amount of gas and diarrhea since the procedure also. The test came back normal as far as I know so far, though I have not gotten the test results from the biopsies yet. Should I be worried about the bloody stool and call my doctor or is this normal?

No, it's not normal. You need to go back to your GI immediately.  He/she can verify the source of bleeding and stop it.
