Hot spot on PET

I had a PET scan done in 4/08 as a result of a hospitalization for swollen lymph nodes in the chest and armpits. The PET scan show a hot spot in the rectal area. I have had 2 negative colonoscopies since the PET, the last in 1/10. I was never sent to an oncologist and I am worried that whatever may have showed up on the PET is not visible in a colonoscopy.
Any advice????
