first time sex and concern

I had sex with my BF frist time. I have never been with anyone,  we use protection. I did not bleed during sex but few min later I was bleeding. he was laughing at me. I think he does not believe I was bleed from sex but my period is not due next few week and it stopped after few hours.  can some one not bleed during sex and start to bleed few min after the firs time intercourse is this normal?  

I am hurt by his statement he has been in relationship before this is my first time and he knows it too.  so why I did not bleed during sex and started to bleed few min later.

As to the laughing, I don't know why he did this. I hope it was out of anxiety rather than some kind of enjoyment in your discomfort.
