Can't get along?

Have you ever had someone you just can't get along with no matter how hard you've tried?  Coworker, in law, family member, neighbor?

Oh yes.  If you have to stay in contact with them try to stay civil (I know that is very hard to do) and spend very little time interacting with them if possible.  There are some that love drama and problems and they thrive off that.  I find trying to be super nice to them doesn't work most of the time.  Be super nice to those who deserve it and be cordial to those who are difficult.  It just seems a lot of people nowadays are in angry/petty/jealous mode.  I find these people are often jealous of what you have and/or envy you.  If you can get them out of your life then do so.  Don't let these people steal your happiness.  Energy vampires.  :(

Yes, I have had it too unfortunately.  Some people I feel like I almost have an immediate reaction to.  Not many but occasionally and I feel bad but I just am at odds with them.  Husband has a friend like this.   No matter how hard I have tried, I can't shake my feeling that I'm not a fan of the guy and pretty sure the feeling is mutual.  Oh well.

I just saw the funniest thing relevant to this question ---  In bold letters it read---  Mr. Rogers did not adequately prepare me for the people in my neighborhood.

I'm not sure why that made me chuckle.  I have pretty good neighbors myself but once did have a man that was flat out a menace.  He would get drunk and yell at his wife and she'd lock him out and then he'd sleep in his truck in their drive way.  :-/
LOL!  I like the Mr Rogers comment.  I have neighbors who I am not fond of.  They are super loud.  The woman once was telling my dog to quit barking.  She didn't think I heard her.  What nerve!  My dog hardly barks and everday her and her husband argue loudly.  I know what you mean about when you have that bad feeling about someone.  If you can feel it then it is probably true.  My husband and I go to this dentist.  I can't stand the man, but my husband is ok with him.  Dentist is pretty much a crude pig and always has something rude to say about women.  I can feel my blood pressure and heart rate go up when we have to go for our yearly checkup.  I need to find another dentist too.
I thought that was funny too!  LOL  Yes, get a new dentist!!!  A crude pig?  How does he stay in practice??
Maybe he isn't acting that way with everyone else and/or other patients overlook his ways because his prices are reasonable.  Plus, living in Europe at this time as an American isn't easy.  Some Europeans really, really, really dislike Americans.  Loads of people stay in practice and aren't wonderful people and/or competent people.  Some people are ok with getting crumbs.  Know what I mean?  I am not that kind of gal.
I'm glad you aren't that kind of gal.  I think too with the health system in UK, do you have less of a choice?
Well, yes and no.  You can go private, but it can be expensive.  My teeth are in pretty good condition, so I am thinking about finding a private dentist.  My husband has loads of problems with his teeth, so he would rather stick with this dentist because it's cheaper in his case.  I raised so much hell with my husband the first time this dentist was rude that we didn't see him for 4 years.  My husband's teeth were getting worse and I told him I would go back to seeing this dentist because he needed to see someone immediately.  We went back and the man was still a pig as before.  He rambled on about the U.S. and whatnot.  Told filthy jokes and talked crudely about women all in the first 5-10 minutes I was in his chair.  He used NO gloves as well when he was examining my husband's mouth.  Gross!  I have the patience of job, but once that's gone I am done.
