Do you think I'm just too paranoid?

Right now I like being single. Got some issues mentally that I need to work out before meeting women, besides the point. Anyway, if I'm monogamous now, I still absolutely refuse to forgo condoms.

Yes you may say myself and gf should get tested together and etc. But I decided it has to be to the point that I'm about to marry that person before doing so.

Is that fair? Or would you and your spouse go without rubber when not married?

It's not unreasonable to wear a condom until a relationship has progressed to marriage in my opinion. Wanting to forgo the possibility of unwanted (or too early) pregnancies may well save a whole lot of heartache. I think the pros outweigh the cons of wearing a condom before marriage. It's also ideal to have any mental illness in check before getting into a relationship. Your futre wife is a lucky girl to have such a responsible future partner,  I think you have a good chance of finding the right mate for you, because you are showing a great deal of patience and intelligence. Good luck to you. Great post.

Nope, you're not unreasonable. Demanding of you to not wear a condom - or you refusing to wear one despite the wishes of your partner - would be unreasonable. If you're not comfortable without one, that's up to you.

I really don't know what you're asking,  Tribute.    So you're not in a relationship right now,  not dating,  but you're figuring out at what point in a possible future relationship you won't wear condoms?

My question is.... In your view, am I being too uptight in refusing unprotected sex until going to the next level in monogamous? Some people, even though they aren't married but in a relationship, they don't use condoms. I don't trust that.
