Double Dip

I recently performed anal and vaginal sex with my boyfriend of 3years. In the heat of the moment he took his penis directly from my anus and then in my vagina. It has been 2 days and i am now experiencing a strong odor from my vagina. Could it be an infection?????

From double dip, it's really likely too that someone will get a urinary tract infection.  It introduces fecal matter into the urethra and UTI's are the pits! Painful to say the least.

pelvic inflammatory disease and bacterial vaginosis and tricholminious (trick) and even a yeast infection all of these can cause the vagina to smell fishy all of these that I mentioned are sexually transmitted except for bacterial vaginosis you can get this from taking baths using dirty cloths to wash your privates and if you play down there or he does don't think that not washing ones hands couldn't pass a bacteria infection also. Hygiene is of the utmost importance period! And anal sex is fine if you clean it before and after or use a condom. The other infections I mentioned are more dangerous than you think because you wont even know you have it. And  if it goes on too long you can definatley become steril and cause damage. You can die actually from letting P.I.D go undetected so when you do your 6 month or yearly check up and they test for STDS let your doctor know that you want to be tested for Bv and P.I.D for sure.

I know this question is several years old but just in case anyone else wants to know the answer to this then I have it. I'm almost certain the reason for your smell is due to an infection called,"Bacterial Vaginosis" which is very common and sometimes women don't know they have it. The number 1 symptom is that of a foul odor coming from your vagina. Bc your boyfriend went from your anus directly to your vagina, it got bad bacteria up in there causing your PH balance to go off. Its treatable with either flagyl aka Metrogel or Clindamycin antibiotics. Those are the only 2 antibiotics that treat BV. There's also home remedies people have tried, but imo I don't find them effective...They only mask the problem vs treating it. Hope this helps anyone.

I have had similar experience and diagnosis was BV. (Bacterial Vaginosis). Easily trested by your gyn with antibiotics.Yes it isnt good idea to go from anus to vagina but hey things happen in heat of the moment and then you deal with the concequences for a few days afterwards. Go see your GYN.

Keep in mind that just because some people use the anal cavity for intercourse, it doesn't mean it's a good idea. Many people don't wear condoms or motorcycle helmets. I have, but it's not a good idea. Either "mistake" could cause death.⚜️

Absolutely! This is not a good thing to do particularly if you ever want children. Pelvic inflammatory disease will scar you and make you sterile.

Since the anus has a myriad of bacteria etc that grows in it naturally it is technically not meant for your vag to be introduced to those bacteria since it is not used to pass stool. I’d go to the doctor it does indeed sound like u have either a ph balance issue infection or something like it and next time when you guys do that just use a condom for one of them take it off and that’ll help I ensure you don’t get bacteria from another region

Please don't think that if you have an enema "days" before sex that you will have a clean anal region.  If you clean out the last part of your rectum 20 to 40 mins before, you can be much more sure of having a clean experience.

Yes -u can have a bad infection
Since your anal is to let  feces out. And if you don't
Get a good enema days before you have sex. U will have poop comin out and getting into your vagina. U need to straight to the emergency room  and let the doctor  know when it was you had anal sex. Infections are really bad  he has to go too. To get antibiotics to get rid of the infection

Get a probe for BV. Usually BV does not have discharge and instead has a distinct odor. Yeast infections are usually heavy on the discharge side....at least from my experience. I suffer with both chronically. I get them 5x+ per year.

Did you try to find out what caused the bladder infection, we are all just concluding that it was the anal/vagina wipe that caused it, it could very well be something else.

Just a thought, and glad u didnt waste time on seeing a doctor.

Having sex can cause urinary infections.

I agree with the others, it sounds like you have a bacterial infection and should see a doctor. Thankfully, most doctors will not try and find out what started it, they just work on treating it. Since wiping can cause the same bacterial infection, they suggest that you wipe from the back to avoid spreading germs. Good luck

You can also get a UTI from having sex. Not just from wiping the wrong way.

whoknos, it could be a bacterial vaginosis (BV) infection. Grey discharge during intercourse is the other symptom for BV. I don't know if it can cause painful urination - usually that's the result of a bladder infection. Definitely talk to your doctor, as both these cases are easy to remedy.

BlackMarriedDude, I think you're less likely to get an infection in your mouth (having penis from anus) than your vagina - though I still wouldn't want to do it. You can't brush or rinse your vagina like you can your mouth. Plus the bacterial and fungal cultures in your vagina are more sensitive than those in your mouth (again I'm guessing) because your mouth is used to dealing with a large variety of items (different foods, drinks, etc.). I think it's harder for that bacteria to find a place to grow in your mouth. However, I wouldn't want to find out otherwise >P

Yu have Gardinella. Think that's how it's spelt. Yu can buy canasten cream or get something better like an anti biotic fr yr hoo haar ;)
I'm not sure we can diagnose over the internet  :)  Gardinella is a parasite that we can get when we EAT fecal matter and it affects our digestive tract I believe.  Had it once from eating fruit washed in water from an unclean cistern.  Maybe you are talking about something I don't know about.

What kind of odor - fishy, cottage-cheesy? See your doctor and get some swabs done, especially if the symptoms get worse.

NEVER go straight from one to the other (vagina to anus OR anus to vagina). Both cavities have distinct communities of bacteria and fungi that need to maintain their balance (or an infection results). Not only could you get a nasty bacterial infection in your vagina (from the bacteria transfered from the anus), but you could also get a yeast infection in your anus. Porns certainly aren't going to share those gritty details with us (and keep in mind, those girls usually have their cavities thoroughly cleaned before a shoot). With anal sex, always use a condom and try to keep those fluids confined to the anus.

Going vagina to anus is ok, but never the reverse. And yes go to the doctor & tell him/her what happened & your symptoms,

Yeah, it makes sense.  The rectum contains e-coli bacteria along with some other things that just don't need to exist outside of their normal environment.  Maybe other women haven't had trouble with mixing things up that way, but I just won't "go there" any more.  I've got enough medical issues to deal with!  :-)
