Fear or Non-sense

I've been dating this guy since the 4th of July on and off, but now it's official. Normally i'd be falling head over heals for a guy, but this time it's different. i like this guy i'm dating, but i'm not falling head over heals for him. my last few relationships went down the drain because i was head over heals and i would get screwed over by the guy, so i was just wondering is there something wrong with me or is that completely normal?

There's nothing wrong with you. You have bad past relationship experiences, so you are just a little now more cautious...nothing wrong with that.

Who knows? maybe, the only fireworks that you're ever going to see was on that July 4th. Anyway, that "head-over-heels" feeling doesn't always hit you right away.
Give it time to kick in. If it happens; it happens. If it doesn't... oh, well... such is life!

All relationships start out differently.  Some are built first on friendship and intimacy develops later.  Some start out as lust and than love forms over time.  So it all depends on what you think is most important in a relationship.  What is it about him that made you want to make it official?  Are you attracted to him?  It seems like all your other relationships where you were head over heals got you nowhere.  Perhaps it's in your best interest to see where this goes.  However if you feel that you don't care for him the same as he does for you or you aren't feeling that "umpf" that you are supposed to feel.  Than I suggest you be honest with him and not lead him on.  Find someone in which you are more compatible with and let him find someone who wants to be with him in a romantic sense.
