So about over a year ago me an my ex boyfriend broke up, then we started talking again as if we were going to date again but I ruined everything then he stopped talking to me, well now he has a new girlfriend and I have a boyfriend but I'm not jealous I'm happy for him but every night and when I mean every night I mean it I have dreams of us seeing each other, and we always kiss, it stresses me out bc I don't wanna tell my current boyfriend now ).: HELP??

I do want to say that I've had recurrent dreams and one is a nightmare regarding my mother who is passed away.  It's one of the dreams I hate.  I had it frequently for years and now as time has gone on, it is a rare occurrence.  So, the dreams will fade.  good luck

Hi and welcome. Really a difficult issue with these dreams and most likely youll have them on and off well into old age. They are coming out in your REM sleep where all our fears and unresolved situations are stored. They have to be lived out so believe it or not its good you are having these dreams as with REM sleep dreams you are actually living out the reality of it without real life consequences.

Hi there and welcome.  Try not to overthink it.  Dreams happen and they don't mean you should act on them or I'd be dating Brad Pitt.  (ha ha, well, I'd be TRYING to date Brad Pitt).  Sometimes our psyche tries to work something out and then we dream about it.  You may have some unresolved feelings about it deep down.  Doesn't mean you should be with the ex or that you don't love your current. Definitely don't mention it to your boyfriend.  Not worth it.

We all have dreams about our ex's from time to time.  Try to actively dream by thinking about something specific right before bed.  This helps steer our mind in that direction verses drifting to where it is stuck the past few nights.  good luck
