Me neither.  DH and I just didn't have the funds after shelling out who knows how much money for the wedding.... we just stayed home, took off work for a week, slept in, went out to a movie or two, dined out, etc.  Just relaxed.

One thing though... if we had had the money, we would've gone to Greece for a few days!

We didn't get a honeymoon either. I was two months pregnant with my son so we just upped the wedding. We didn't really have the money at the time. We always said we'd have a honeymoon someday. Oh well, our 20 year anniversary is coming up. Maybe we can do something nice then. We did have a very nice wedding.
If we ever did have a honeymoon, I'd like to go to Hawaii or on a cruise, or both! :o)

That is interesting.  We went on a honeymoon, but a cheaper one then I wanted.  Didn't have the money.  So we went to Smoky Mountains and rented a cabin for a week.  Was a good honeymoon though.

We went to the Bahama's and stayed at a really nice resort.   It was fun b/c we didn't do too much, mostly relaxed and ate and well, you know......We did have a wonderful time.

Sadly,  the marriage didn't last but at least it made me get a passport and that made me want to travel so I've been to Europe 5 times since then!!  Seen a lot of neat things.  Something good came out it at least.  I even went back the Bahama's but with a couple of girlfriends the last time and had a great time then too.

My marriage didn't work out but at least yours did so I guess going on a honeymoon doesn't really matter.  What matters is loving and sharing and being committed to each other.  All you ladies have that, I hear it in your writings.

I learned from that mistake  and even worked some the last baggage out on this forum so I feel better prepared in case I take the plunge again which I plan to someday, just not ready now.

April - go to Hawaii.  I've heard wonderful things about it.  You'll love it!!!

Your right about Hawaii.  My parents took us there every year a day after Christmas.  Sometime my husband and I are going to take our girls.  If you go you should stay on Maui, because it's not as crowded, and we always stayed at Sands of Kahana over by Lahania.  It is right on the beach.  Plane fare is what costs the most, for us to go it is about 1400 per plane ticket.  The condo is 350.00 per night.

April you could always do a Hawaiian Cruise.  My best friend just got married and that is what they did.  Their luggage got lost though (of course)

I love Hawaii. When we were coming back from being stationed in Japan, we stopped over in Hawaii. We were on Waikiki Beach in Honolulu. The water was so crystal clear and beautiful, the air so balmy. And everywhere we walked, we could smell flowers. I was enchanted! Of course we had the kids with us and they always wanted to go to the hotel pool! We were trying to cram as much as we could in the five days we were there. We couldn't afford to stay any longer. If I ever go back, first I'd like to just go as a couple (as much as I love my kids!), and then I'd like to go to one of the smaller islands like Muai or Kuai (I'm probably spelling that wrong!). Waikiki Beach was nice, but so touristy. I'd like to see the traditional Hawaii. My 19 year old so was invited to The Big Island two summers ago by his girlfriend's parents. They paid for his plane tickets! Of course, after plenty of assurance that her parents would watch them and keep them out of each other's rooms, I allowed him to go. I was pretty jealous though! He got to see a part of Hawaii that I didn't. He came home with these great pictures. Waaaaa!!! I want to go back! :o)

We went camping.... (romantic, huh?)

Then on our 5th anniversary we went on a honeymoon, we were part of a mercy mission to the Dominican Republic.  It had a few romantic moments.

hey it depends if you are asking a man or woman about the romance of camping.....  hehe
if you asked my husband he would love it, me though.............I like to camp, but I don't know about honeymoon camping.  Which we sord-of did that, aka in door plumbing though.  We went to Smoky Mountains and rented a cabin.  Enjoyable except for the stupid bladder infection I got (honeymoonist)
