I am currently pregnant by a guy I thought was the one for me... We have fought a couple times and he has even called me out of my name. When I wanted to have sex, he turned me down. I immediately knew that there was someone else. We aren't together anymore, but now-its hard to give anyone else a try. What should I do?

Yes, but my family and friends aren't the type of people to be around during a time like this . and I'm 19 .

I know ! And maybe the reason why I'm so lonely is because my son isn't here . I didn't want to become another african american single mom statistic. I don't want to rush my son considering the fact that he is already 4 days late, but I know with him here I will be focused on him and how to better myself for his sake... I just don't know how to get my mind off his father during the time he isn't here.

I agree, don't be in a hurry to find another relationship right away. You've got a baby on the way and that's a lot more important and frankly much more exciting than a relationship. Take the time now to be on your own and enjoy your baby and then maybe at some point down the line you'll be in a better place emotionally to find someone better than him.

Hi there.  I'm sorry this happened and especially since you are vulnerable and pregnant at this time.  That is hard and I'm sure you are very hurt.


I would give it a break.  I know it will take you some time to trust guys again and there is no rush for you to begin dating or 'get over this' fast.  If you are pregnant, I'd just focus on the baby to come and your plans.  Don't try to date for the time being and heal from the broken trust of that relationship.
