Valentine's Day Gift Ideas for Boyfriend??
Alright ladies - Valentine's Day is coming up and I am already starting to think about gift ideas for my boyfriend. I really love this holiday because I am a romantic and want to give him something special but I need some good ideas. I really love giving gifts besides just spending some one on one quality time together!! But it seems like I give him girly gifts lol.... You be the judge
A little about my bf: been together 5 yrs, he is 26, not into watching sports on TV - just likes soccer (he is not American lol if you are wondering), likes to work out and try out different sports for fun, just bought a ps3 -- so he likes to play video games at times, likes watching movies, loves spicy foods and likes trying new restaurants, not into buying clothes for brands - just buys what he likes ( I love that about him!!! - but he has a ton of clothes and shoes!), enjoys trying new experiences, likes tools, enjoys fixing his car or baby.... and getting things it needs, would not say he likes to read for enjoyment, more if he has to, enjoys learning about the restaurant business – would like to open 1 one day. . I don't know what else to say about him that might help in the gift giving department. (I like giving more personal gifts to him to show him my love)
Gifts I got him in the past for V-day:
V-day 1 - At this point we were over half a year into our relationship and from day 1 I knew he was special so I started writing in a journal good memories of us - So I gave him this 6 month journal. (He admitted a few weeks ago he spilled something on the journal and it all got ruined!! ) Also in Art class we were learning how to do glass etching so I etched his name, name meaning and his zodiac sign on a mirror (He likes this - has it in his bedroom ever since).
V-day 2 - Knitted him a scarf (black and red yarn) Took me a month to do it!! He said he liked it lol.... I also purchased these two dogs (from Cool Cats and Hot Dogs collection) which are called "Love at First Sight" and had our names engraved on it. The two gods kiss - it is really cute :) Also I baked him berry muffins with his initials in them made out of berries lol – He said they tasted good!!
V-day 3 - I saw at Walmart this little realistic looking passport. (This was funny to us because he wasn't a US citizen at the time). I created coupons on the computer (Ex: coupon for a night of fun, for a massage, for a freebie, for, coupon for a dinner on me, movie on me ..... you get the idea :) ). I then put these coupons in the passport and he was free to use any of the coupons at any time. Also on a website - they have this game called LOVOPOLY - like monopoly but you can personalize it with your photos and make the places - be the special places you two have went to. We played it - it was fun and it is a nice memory of many nice places we went to over the years.
V-day 4 - The first time he gave me flowers - it was 3 red roses. I pressed these and kept them in a book for years. I then went to Walmart and got a plastic see through frame. I wrote him a nice poem about our love and printed this on nice paper and glued the dry rose on the paper and placed in the frame. (He still has this in his room) Also I went to personalcreations.com and got him a coffee mug with our names on it engraved in a heart. Idk if he uses this but I love putting our names everywhere!! Also I attempted to draw a photo of us lol. I think it looked good!
Vday 5 - ????????
Problem: V-day is on Sunday this year so he is working until 9pm. So I don't have a long time to see him - can't cook dinner or watch a movie really. (We don't live together so it would be weird if I made dinner w/ my parents at home here lol)
The best gift he said I ever gave him out of all these years is a tool box for one of his b-days lol

I did by the way see this “fun” thing online called a pantygram --- u send your bf a thong with a note inside…. Part of the note is written in the package and part of it he was to go online to read the rest. It can be something naughty lol … I was thinking about sending it to him to his job hahaha!!

How about a day at the spa for 2? I know some guy's dont care much for it, but have him pampered, massaged and then a nice dinner and later private desert ....food for thought.
Last year I bought some personalized panties that said "Richie's girl" and some other personalized goodies like candles, chocolate body paint, massage oil and I made a bag of fun. I gave him the card and rose and bag of fun and when we got to the hotel (his gift to me), I did a little strip show for him and revealed the panties. I don't think it's how much you spend as long as you make it fun.
one year she bought me a nice recliner which was wonderful...unfortunately, the cats mistook it for a litter box and that was that..usually a nice card, candy...neither of us really go way out for the Holiday...she made the arrangements for the hotel we went to..we'd rather just have a nice quiet romantic evening at home...
What do I want? I'd love for my wife to greet me at the door without clothing, and ice cold beer and a nice walk upstairs but thats the ....) of which you speak..
My wife has been in considerable pain for several years and sex just isn't much in our lives any more, actually. A nice warm hug and a nice dinner is fine with me.

I'm horrible at buying Valentine's Day gifts for my wife. I try to claim temporary amnesia and say I forgot. Yes, I've done the flowers delivered to work which was always a hit but she's not working right now and I think she's tired of those, prepared a nice romantic dinner at home but the romantic moment is always broken by one of the kids asking for money...we've gone to a nice hotel for a lovely dinner and wine and a room for the night but the wine made her sleepy and...well...the TV was good...

My husband always tells me to buy him lingerie for valentine's day..for me to wear for him, not for him to wear lol He seems to like it, lol I've gotten him one of those cookie bouquets before which he liked, but those can get really expensive, but you can make your own since your creative lol

I always had the same problem. I would always get girly gifts, I think valentines day is hard to get a guy. I like the things you got your boyfriend, you're very creative.
I'm not as creative as you, but i would say take him out to dinner even if its the day before or after, or a small vacation somewhere even if its just 1 night. Sorry i'm not much help but remember the best gift you can give him is your heart.

It's a little complicated, because everyone is different and has different taste. My fiance has EVERYTHING and is very difficult to buy for. He did enjoyed that I treated him to his favorate steak house (for 2, which I enjoyed and benefit from the gift also :). He LOVES to go to fine dinning places on special occasions, so I made the reservation in advance, because it get's full quickly and treated him to Morton's steak house out here in Chicago. They had very thinkg from steak and lobster, dbl baked potato and nice wine. that did it for and throw in a good theatre movie and he's a happy man. I have also given him in the past a gift certificate to "Eddie Bauer's"...his favorite clothing store. Remember that any gift you give is from the heart and should be appreciated, so give from the heart and I'm sure he will appreciate you from the inside out. Good Luck
