erectile dysfuction

Hi I have known my current boyfriend for years. Recently we started sleeping together. He had no problems getting an erection but he had problems keeping it long enough to have sex. As he is below 40 years of age I am worried that the problem is psychological and that his not as interested in me as he makes out. If its psychological it could be an indiction that he doesn't trust me. Is there any point getting him to see a doctor? What should I say to persuade him to get help?
