head of penis experiencing lack of sensitivity

Can't seem to get this question on the sexuality forum, so I'm going to try posting it here.

My boyfriend has been concerned about the lack of sensitivity the head of his penis seems to be experiencing. He is uncircumcized. He finds it feeling numb to sensations of warm or cold (like a cold glass against the head). We don't know if it's normal or if it's possibly impacting our sex life (symptomatic of arousal problems?). Note that regular intercourse is fine for us, as the shaft of his penis is still quite sensitive.
It's been frustrating for me as during fellatio, I always understood that the head of the penis is the most sensitive. However, it turns out that I've been my wasting energy in performing fellatio as he doesn't really feel it. It's left us both feeling unsatisfied with this part of our sex life.

Any thoughts/ideas?

Is this something he has always dealt with or just recently? Has he been taking any enhancers? Do you think it is possible he has a pinched nerve somewhere and it is effecting this? If it is really a concern he should have it checked out. I know for me that filacio (sp?) is a huge part of foreplay and I think that it really will effect you mentally. And as we know for us women the mental part of sex is huge!! :)

I have this same problem and I am circumsized. It's nothing new though, it's been that way my whole like. My head is 90% numb and i can hold a cube of ice to it without even noticing.

I have noticed that the skin on the head of the penis isn't smooth, there are these little ridges in it and if i rub them with dry fingers it prickles and stings like if i were to drag a numb foot across the carpet.

i hate my penis.
