If you purchased the tickets ,and asked her to go with you,and she wanted to take brother instead, i would tell her flat out, that i purchased the tickets for us, and not your brother, she sounds like she is inconsiderate of your feelings luck jo
I'd say your GF is being inconsiderate. I say, have her pay you for both tickets and then she can take her brother.
I have to agree with RockRose. I hate country too, and i would be a real drag if i went with someone who DID like country. It would bring them down as much as me. I'm curious why you purchased country tickets if you hate them. Why didn't you just do something that you both have an interest in? It seems to me the choice is this,
1) go, be miserable
2) let her brother go who likes it, so that she can have a good time and you'll be the hero
3) make her feel all guilty cause she considered the fact you don't like country so tried to find a different out.
4) chuck the whole idea and take her out somewhere really cool for the weekend
Anyway, that seems your best alternatives as i see it

I don't really understand your question.
If her brother really likes Tim McGraw, he would be much more fun to go with than someone like you who hates country. Why don't you just sell your ticket to her brother, and then the next night take your girlfriend out to do something you both like to do?
