my boyfriend and i are in a very committed relationship. Recently while in the middle of a fight, he turned off his phone and went and jerked off. This has happened once before that i know of. That time we were staying together and i was sitting in the other room waiting for him to calm down and come talk to me after an argument, and again he went and jerked off before sorting things out with me. I dont have a problem with him masturbating but while we are in a fight. Im not comfortable with it. When i told him that he said that it helped him calm down so he would do it if he wants.Is this normal?

Ash85, I would be uncomfortable with how he associates sexual excitement with your fighting. How deep does this excitement go? I might be overreacting, but do you suspect he ever picks fights *because* of the sexual excitement he gets from it?

I don't know if this is normal, but I'm alarmed that his sexual desire is more important when you two are arguing than YOUR feelings (or resolving the issue, for that matter). I would say no (never heard of it or experienced it before). Be cautious and make sure you're not heading into an unhealthy relationship with this person.
