summer time

I'm a lady that loves the seasons.  Each one has something special about it that I love.  Summer time is that season in which I feel a bit carefree.  Even when I lived in the South and every day was on the warm side and you didn't have the climatic changes I now have living in the Mid West, Summer still represented something to me.  

What are your favorite summer past times and activities??  What are you looking forward to this summer?

The thing about living here is, most of our seasons mash up and look like the others.  Take last night for instance... it snowed.  Totally not uncommon, but your mind tells you that it is June and the snow needs to go away.  Spring and fall look just alike with the exception of the leaves.  Fall, their dying and spring they are sprouting.... the weather is exactly the same.  It can be 20 and the sun shines, 43 and rain/snow/sleet, or it might be 75 and absolutely gorgeous.

We just like to be outside.  We've taken on some out door projects and we plan to hike and do a little fishing later in the season.

Usually in July it's just scorching hot all or most the month.  He he. Where do u live at special mom?

I like spring and fall.  Not too big on extremely cold or hot.  Hot is ok if in water.   Wish I could afford to go back to sicily.  Sunny with little to no humidity it seemed.  I used to enjoy walking around on the island.

If we visit Londres in Paris . . .  we don't need to eat in a cafe.  Her culinary skills would be worth traveling for alone from what I've been told!!  Anyway, I booked my flight an hour ago.  Hope that is okay . . .

Or San Fran.  I've spent some time there but it is a favorite.  The Caribean would be just fine too.  I'm in and in.

Sadly . . .  I do not have a wonderful destination to offer you ladies.  Just little old me, my house in suburbia Mid West and some kids to entertain you in the backyard.  You are welcome to come though and we'll MAKE it exciting!

Things I love about summer . . .  oh, my garden.  It is going really well this year.  I've had not so good years, so I am having high hopes for this year.  I've got things setting on the vegi plants and have already filled vases with cut flowers.  This makes me smile just thinking about it.

We get passes to this amusement park that is about 10 minutes from my house.  so fun and my kids LOVE it.  They have a big pool and hanging out at a pool is right up my alley.

And we will go to the Lake.  Fond memories of Lake Erie every single summer of my life.

Some days we get to sleep late and we have an occasional "home" day.  We do nothing but hang out at home without a care in the world.  Stress free and all about just being together and relaxing.  

Those are some of my special summer things.

Can We eat at one of those outdoor cafe's that Paris is so famous for?  And can We see the Leaning Tower of Pisa?  

If You All come here I will take You to Sausalito - You won't BELIEVE the Beauty and the Quaintness of Sausalito!!   We will go to San Francisco too - Fisherman's Wharf is still there, of course - and I'm sure You were Enthralled as a 10 year old, but You NEED to Experience it today as an kAdult.  And We will take a tour of Alcatraz and We will ride the Cable Cars and We will see and cross the Golden Gate Bridge and We will go to Pier 39 and the Wax Museum, and the list goes on and on.....it's never ending - so plan on staying for a LONG visit.  I await the arrival of You, SpecialMom, and Kayannaboo with bated breath!!

Come anytime ladies (Tink, Anna and Specialmom).  We can walk down the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, shop and then grab something to eat.  

Yes, I have been to San Francisco......that was long ago.  I was about 10 then.  I loved that Fisherman's Wharf.  The food there was delicious too.

Are You inviting Us to Paris??  And then, when We are done with the Caribbean and Paris - I  invite You All to San Francisco and Sausalito!! - I GUARANTEE Good Times and BreathLess Sights!!  Have any of You been to San Francisco?  If not.....it's time!!  We can wait until SpecialMom's Boys have grown up -  or Better Yet - Let's include them Too - memories to last a lifetime!!

LOL! December, January, February is cold (not like u guys cold but cold enough to wear a sweater) but we don't have winter. Sometimes I would like to see the magic of snow, build a snow man and all that LOL. Its nice to live here though, especially going to the north coast i.e. the tourist locations, its beautiful, beaches everywhere! You should come, bring specialmom and Londres with you.

If not, maybe I can make the same "sacrifice" one day.  My dream would be to have warm, mild weather year 'round.

I am not particularly a summer person but since I started school, I like not going lol the two months off for summer holiday, I like that. I also like going to the beach, even though there is never a bad time to go to the beach as I live in the Caribbean but summertime is beach time and everyone knows!
