unable to orgasm

I am 32 and I have been unable to orgasm via penetration.  I have to use a clitoral stimulator or play with myself during sex.

I have now become frustrated with this practice and it has caused problems in my sexual life with someone I recently met.  He ended the relationship because he wasn't comfortable with not being able to get me to orgasm without oral or me playing with myself.

Am I the only one with this problem?  What can I do?

Thanks for responding.

I do intend to find someone who is comfortable with how I am.  Before we got intimate, I did explain to him that I was not able to come via penetration.

My next step is to throw out whatever toys I have and not depend on them so much.

No, you're not alone w/this problem.

One problem may be that you get too used to the stimulation from a toy or yourself, and then it becomes hard to have an orgasm the natural way.  Same for men, when they have used the hand too much.....it's harder to get used to the softness of a woman.  That is a fact.  Ask other guys.

As for your situation, you should find someone that's comfortable with you using a toy during sex.  My boyfriend loves it.  He feels that we can get right down to it, and not have to worry about the length of time it takes a woman to become arroused.  I like that to.  We both enjoy it, and it doesn't get boring.
