Is she having trouble when she goes to the bathroom? If she pushes too hard this could cause bleeding... it has happened to me. However it could also be hemorroids. My dad suffers from this condition. You need to take her to the doctor. When my mom gets stubborn and doesn't want to coperate and take her medicine I just force her. You have to take action. It could be a serious problem or internal bleeding that she may be experiencing. If she doesn't want to go to the doctor just tell her you want to take her out to have lunch or something and take her to the clinic. Good luck and I really hope it's nothing.
she said that there is also a lump there and that it just might be hemrroids but i dont think that that would do it i dunno...thanks bip

Ya I would defintly tell your mom to make an appt. with the doctor. It could be anything. Most likely they would send her to a Gastro. doc.
Request an occult blood test and talk about a colonoscopy to rule out any polyps in your intestinal tract or rectum that could have caused the bleeding during the bowel movement.
Well she needs to get blood work done to make sure she hasn't lost too much blood. My mother had something like this, and it was from taking too much tylenol. Your mother needs to go to doc and if she is stubborn, then you tell her if she loved you she would go. that should get her there.
Stomach ulcers are another thing. Polips in colin.
