how many anoles can i put in a 30 gallon tank

hi i just wanted to know how many anoles i can put in a 30 gallon tank ...... i have four now in my 30 gallon tank is this fine because i wanted to get somemore !!!!

You may end up with more if any females lay eggs,of coarse you'll want to take them out and incubate them sotheadults don't eat them.Also youreally should only have one or two males in a tank that size.I wouldn't add anymore since they stress if they don't have alot of free space.That usually leads to dead anoles.I have an egg incubating now,it will be my second good one this season and I hope it goes well.They are a lot of fun to watch.

hi. i would stick with what you have now as far as quantity until you have determined the conditions under which they will thrive. as with any reptile it is important not to subject them to temperature extremes or rapid changes. you might also want to use a "hot rock" which is an electrical accessory that provides a warm surface to lay on at night. this is important for digestion as well as comfort. keep their water clean and fresh as possible (distilled as opposed to tap water which contains chemicals that can harm small critters), feed them on a regular basis, and take note of any sudden changes in behavior that could indicate sickness. the tank by the window should be fine now, but in the summertime it may actually get too hot depending on the amount of sunlight. good luck, gm

also is it ok to put their tank by the window i have it their now and they seem ok i got a lil water bole in their with them and they use it ..... i'v rea alot about anoles and how they won't drink from a bowl but they take a drink in the morning when i cut on their heat lap ..... they all take turns taking a drink .... o one more thing can they get uba rays from being in frount of the window ..... like i said they really seem to like it they play and jump fron branch to branch playing catch lol
