Sleep apnea hypoxic index (AHI) or respiratory disturbance index (RDI). It is normal to have an AHI or RDI of 5 or less. Mild sleep apnea is considered an AHI or RDI of 6 to 15. Moderate sleep apnea is considered an AHI or RDI of 16 to 30. During an episode of apnea people wake themselves up gasping for air or their oxygen level drops. Your daughter’s oxygen level of 94% is a good level during sleep.
As part of normal development 4-year-olds grind their teeth in preparation for losing their baby or primary teeth. Some children do move a fair amount during sleep. I hope that with this information you no longer feel the need to watch your daughter all night long so you are able to sleep.
