Advair causing brief breath loss

Like the title states, i have a brief breathlessness when i use my advair, i have been using it for about 4 years now. The sensation lasts for about 2 minutes then gradually relieves my asthma on the whole. i Use a 250/50 Diskus. Also today i had a slight aspiration issue from what i believe to be GERD related but not yet diagnosed. acid keeps washing into my esophagus and twice today it got into the lungs and now i have a non stop sensation that my lungs are hot and irritated! I am officially laying off the hot wings! It's not the first time i have had this type of hot sensation in my lungs. Today all of a sudden i had an attack, the severity was new to me as i have NEVER absolutely needed a rescue inhaler so badly! Normally i use it every 6 hours or so when i feel tightness, This time i straight NEEDED it as i started to panic and sweat from a feeling as if i could not inhale deeply and the wind was knocked out of me. The inhaler worked right away but the effects did not last long and i am in discomfort as of typing this. My provider never fully explained my asthma and just handed me inhalers, up to this point they have worked. also i cough up small egg like clear beads,and/or stringy worm looking plugs. what is happening here?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello and hope you are doing well.

Sorry for the delay in replying. Rescue inhalers are usually Asthalin inhalers and they are short acting and need to be taken at regular intervals for relief from symptoms. GERD  Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease), where the acid contents of the stomach came up into the esophagus, can cause long term cough.

To reduce acid levels try good life style measures. Take frequent small meals. Avoid spicy and oily food. Eat dinner about two hours before sleeping. Elevate the head end of the bed. Keep a food diary and note down what aggravates your symptoms and avoid them. Ensure to maintain optimum weight by regular exercise. Avoid NSAID's, quit smoking, eliminate alcohol, avoid caffeinated beverages and reduce stress levels. OTC antacids can further aid in reducing acid levels. These measures need to be practiced long term for results. Please consult your primary care physician for proper assessment.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

I have quit 2 times now once for 2 years another for 1 year but my anxiousness always leads to another relapse. i am 5 foot 10 inches 225lbs i used to be 289lbs but have been losing weight for no logical reason i can see. i do not work my wife takes care of me since i lost my job when i weaned myself off of cymbalta last year.
