Age relataed post nasal drip

by Hollar231, Jul 03, 2009 03:06PM
I have had post nasal drip for about 8 months now with constant coughiing and mucus build-up in throatl  It will
sometimes subside duriing the day but not too often.  I will start to cough and then my nose will start to run.
I use saline spray (Ocean brand) but it doesn't seem to help too much.  It is mostly in the morning when I first ]
get up.  Any movement (downward) will start me coughing.  My primary care dr. says nothing can be done.  He
has givven me codeine for cough which I can't take because it causes shortness of breath.  I have also in the last
last three months been diagnose with rheumatoid arthritis  and am in treatment for it now (methotrexate)
Am I to live with this cough forever?  Any suggestions?.
