I don't mean to be impatient, but others are getting feedback to their concerns, while some of us are being overlooked.  Is there more information needed to give feedback?  Please respond.  I wrote under the Subject:  "Deep breathing causing back pain"

You will need to be evaluated further by your doctor to learn the cause of your back pain.  It could be related to your lungs or the muscles of your back.  A chest x-ray would be a good test to begin to figure out the cause of your back pain.

The change that you have described in your fingernails sounds like Beau’s lines.  However Beau’s lines are not associated with a particular health problem.  You will need to be evaluated further by your doctor to figure out if there is some other health problem causing the changes in your fingernails.  Then your doctor could recommend treatment for that health problem.  If there are no other health problems, then a dermatologist would be the type of specialist to help with the changes in your fingernails.

To help you to quit smoking, you may want to look at our Just Quit Online program at http://www.nationaljewish.org.  Also check with your doctor for other quit smoking resources in your area.

To: having same thoughts
I was wondering the same thing...I posted under "7 yr old coughing up blood", and then re-posted asking for help...
I realise that not every question can be answered...and that it may be that the lung nurses have no idea what the problem may be..but it is disheartening to see the posts around yours being replied to and not yours..especially when you are out of your mind with fear and worry...but i have recieved helpful advise and comments from others :)
