Asbestos exposure

by becca1971, Nov 01, 2007 10:31AM

I think it is likely that the whole of my family have been exposed to white asbestos in artex (artex has been tetsed and asbestos was confirmed) when removing 2 pieces of ceiling. We didn't know it contained asbestos at the time and took the usual low level precautions (not drilling, sanding but I am sure some dust must have ocurred when pulling it down).

Now I am very worried about the potential health effects but can't get find any definitive answers on the web. I am particularly concerned for my children as I have heard the effect is greater for them.

What are the potential problems?
