Asthma

My daughter has asthma and is currently hospitalized.  I wonder if anyone else has found a connection between their menstruation cycle and asthma attacks.  She is hospitalized monthly and I would also like to know if anyone has found this connection, what can be done?  She is still 27 and will have her periods for a while yet..

I have been using colloidal silver for 6 years and it has helped me greatly!  i dont know what people are saying that is dangerous about it but if it is used as intended is not dangerous.  I work in a rental office and cought everything that came into my office and my boss told me about this amazing product called colliodal silver.  I started taking it right away! It is not a cure all but i have not gotton sick hardly at all!  Now when people come into my office im not afraid anymore.  my husband cut off the end of his finger in a car door and i went and put the silver into a bowl and put his hand in it the bleeding stopped right away...we continued to use this on the finger while it healed and it healed fast.  the tissue on the finger seemed to grow rapidly. In this day and time we need to remember that God gave us the ability to heal ourselves if we just take the time to find out what really works!  MY husband also uses it on his hair after a shower he uses a spray bottle and sprays it on and this is the only thing we have found that helps his flaky head!  I have a problem with my face breaking out and it has really helped me--just spray it on and let it air dry.  My mother has lopus and she has been on it as long as i have and is doing great, she is 70 years old now and still as active as always.  She gets spots on her skin and will apply the silver and it goes away quickly.  If you wish to ask her any questions about it email her at ldy_cherokee***@**** and she will be glad to email you with her testomonie on how it has helped her!                thank you
THIS IS A PRODUCT WORTH LOOKING INTO!

Thanks for the info. on the collidal silver.  I have tried pharmacies and no one had ever heard of it.  I really appreciate this information.  Well, I guess we'll have to look for another way to keep germs away from my daughter...any ideas?

Thank you for the comments about my daughter who appears to have hormonally connected asthma along with the fact that she appears to have allergies.  Any more information that anyone could give me would help.  We are really trying to help her.  I have recently read about a product called Colloidal Silver on the internet which presents itself as a cure all for asthma.  While I am skeptical of their claims, I wonder if anyone has ever heard of this and if it is advisable or not.  My daughter is also allergic to her own germs so that when she gets sick, she gets asthma.  I'm awaiting any help you can give.  Thanks.

Everything I've read about collidal silver is that it is an extremely dangerous product, which is extremely harmful to us.  You can read about it by searching with a search engine such as www.google.com with those words.  The FDA has banned it as well.
I wish you well but warn you that there are LOTS of folks out trying to make money promising "quick cures," which can be very dangerous for our health.

Hormonal changes influence asthma in different people in different ways. There are children who "outgrow their asthma" at puberty. There are women who wheeze all the time, but not during pregnancy. There are both men and women who develop asthma around 50 years of age and thought to be hormonally related. And, there are women who report having their asthma worsen related to their menstrual cycle. The best answer for you is to control the asthma the best way possible and increase preventative medications at the times most likely to cause a problem. For some, this means increasing inhaled steroids.

Menstration has been linked to asthma in some patients.  Has she calendared her asthma symptoms & peak flow readings, as well as her menses?  If she can do this over several months, it should help her doctor(s) have some idea as to whether there is a connection in her case and what the connection is.  Is she under the care of a pulmonologist?  Has he or she given your daughter suggestions about what to do when her condition is worsening, such as doubling her inhaled steroid dose (known an inhaled steroid burst), rescue medications (including albuterol), nebulized steroid (Pulmicort respules), oral prednisone?
If there is a consistent pattern linking a particular time in the month or in her menstral cycle to her lung function, the doctor can help her figure out a pre-treatment plan to keep her lung function from rapidly declining and hopefully keep her out of the hospital.
I wish you & your daughter the best.  I would strongly recommend that she consider getting a thorough evaluation and treatment from National Jewish--they are very good at helping those of us with difficult to control asthma and other lung problems.  I will always be grateful for the excellent care I received while an outpatient there and continue to receive.  Their website with lots of great info is www.NationalJewish.org; their MedFacts, LungFacts and Self Help info about asthma are very good and may help you and your daughter.
