Awful smell coming from nose/breath

I am experiencing the same thing that I'm reading that most have posted about smell from nose and or breathe. It apparently is a fecal and bad sinus smell that can be smelt from faraway and fill a room. I have been to ENT, colon doctor, dentist and Endo and no one can seem to give me an answer or help me. It has completely changed my life. I'm trying to hold onto my job but it is getting harder and harder to walk thru that door every day. I stay away from public functions. People either make nasty comments, cough or turn their heads. I am taking medication for my sinus, I try to do the daily nasal rinse but it pops my ears. I am also taking morning and evening meds for the chronic acid reflux. None of this is helping, people look at me as though I'm not clean and I am an extremely clean person but as soon as they smell me they look at me like I have the plague. I make sure I get my dental cleanings, have gotten fillings needed and I have spent oodles of money on the different products that promise to help get rid of these smells and ofcourse it don't. Don't people realize a person don't want to be this way but they are so cruel. Has anyone gotten any help with there's if so please let me know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try Therabreath nasal drops. (google Therabreath - they're great). I order from them all the time. Also, the neti pot with saline solution as a nasal rinse does work but needs to be used daily. I also found that increasing my water intake (I now drink 3 litres throughout the day) made it much better. Good luck!!

Yes there has been many many people with the problem through the years on the ENT forum, and I added some of their experiences in Chapter 16, Revolting Sinus Odor

Yes, a lot of sufferers have to been to numerous excellent doctors with no results, so you aren't unusual in that respect.  I theorize that the intractable ones who haven't responded to the kind of treatment that Padertha Anitha lists above may have a fungal infection, as many times the odor follows a course of antibiotics, and that hope lies in getting anti-fungal medicine administered with a nebulizer.  I don't know that anyone is doing that yet, but maybe you can convince a doctor to give it a try.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello and hope you are doing well.

Your symptoms of bad foul smell in the nose could be due to sinus infections. They are due to stasis and infection of the sinus cavities, and the resultant drainage into the nose causes the bad smell. Facial pain, fever and nasal discharge are the other symptoms of sinusitis.
The best way to get to the bottom of your sinus issues is to see an ENT.

A good examination inside the nose with a camera might give the ENT more information as well as a CT scan of the sinuses.  If it is a chronic sinus infection, 4-6 weeks of antibiotics are pretty standard in addition to nasal steroid sprays, oral steroids, and salt water irrigations of the sinuses.  If this fails to solve the problem, sinus surgery is usually recommended.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
