Black sputum

I am 38 and have smoked cannabis daily for 23 years.  I have never smoked tobacco, except sporadically during the past year, or so, because "blunts" have become a popular way to smoke cannabis.  Because I really do not like the taste of tobacco, this method of smoking does not appeal to me.  However, my smoking method of choice is through a water pipe (a.k.a. "bong").  At any rate, I quit smoking cannabis three weeks ago due to bronchitis with black sputum.  Since I quit I have been coughing up more than I ever did while smoking.  Will this ever get better?

That is insane makes me want to take a pill for depression lol.  There so addictive though.  Did your doctor say it was directly cause from marijuana smoking?
