Out of curiosity, did they put her on an antibiotic that is in the "c" family? That's what they call it at the Dr's. It's not in the penicillin family, but I think maybe for those who might be allergic to penicillin, they give this "c" family med. The reason I ask: my granddaughter, who also goes to daycare, had similiar problems...and they treated her with an antibiotic, which we were concerned with mama being allergic to penicillin, they gave her the "c" stuff. Well, her breathing got really weird....the longer she was on it, the stranger it got. So we took her back. Dr then thought maybe she had asthma, so they presecribed albuterol. Ok, we did that, it worked a couple times, then we started noticing that her breathing got faster, and she would get flush. Really weird. Wasn't getting better, so took her back again, and Dr couldn't believe the reaction to albuterol, so he gave her an "updraft" tx and watched, and lo and behold, she got flush all over, and her breathing became fast and hard. He was puzzled. Then....check this out.....I saw on tv, Mystery Illnesses...something like that on Dish, anyway, this lady, who took antibiotic, and albuterol, ect......same thing, come to find out she was allergic to the antibiotics!!!!!!!! It almost killed her. It was such a slow, unnoticeable, and undetectable reaction, they couldn't figure it out. So, now we don't use the "c" family drugs. We use the penicillin family, which we now know she isn't allergic to. I just wonder if the other, mixed with albuterol is what caused my grandbaby's reaction - which appears to be an allergic reaction. Hope this helps you even a tad.
Blessings
Is there not one person out there that can relate to this? Was hoping for some helpful feedback...
