Breathing issues

Heres my story, about a week ago i started to cough, i thought i had a cold or something so i let i run its course, but a few days later i had weezing sounds but no pain or problems in the chest so i let that slide, then as soon as school started and i went to school and i was still coughing, its a new school so the ac was still being worked on, but as the day goes through cough here and there, i didnt let it bother me, the next day same thing, but i woke up to shortness of breath and lost of taste and smell, i thought it was cause i didnt get any water, so i got some brushed my teeth, went to school i still felt it but then all of a sudden when it was about lunch time it disapeared, i had my taste and smell back and i though phew its done, but then i got home still had my taste and smell no coughing, as soon as it hit night, everything came back except shortness of breath, so i just went to sleep, woke up same thing through the whole day, and on today this saturday i woke up with the same thing but 10x more coughing and white mucus came out, so i was woundering if anyone could tell me what i have, or any home remedies cause i dont want to go to the docter just yet.

Thanks i will try what you have suggested, thought it seems the symptoms of whatever is going on seems to be going down to a minimal level, and for your question about itchiness, etc, my glands dont seem to be swollen as far as i can tell, and no scratchy or itchiness, just feels dry

Try gargling with 50/50 hydrogen peroxide/water for 3xs a day for first day, then heavy salted warm water 3xs a day or more until gone. sounds like ur body is trying to fight off the start of something. This should help. If not, ur gonna have to get to a dr bc u may need some antibiotics---are ur glands swollen or any itchiness/scratchy throat feeling?
