CHRONIC SINUSITIS

HAD SURGERY 9 YRS. AGO, WILL NEVER, I SAY NEVER, GO THRU THAT NIGHTMARE AGAIN. HOWEVER I AM AT THE END OF THE LINE WITH THIS ONGOING PROBLEM. EXTENSIVE OPACIFICATION OF  ALL  MY SINUS CAVITIES.THE FRONTAL SINUSES ARE COMPLETELY OPACIFIED WITH NO AERATION. THE NASOFRONTAL DUCTS ARE ODTIOMEATAL COMPLEXES ARE OCCLUDED. I HAD A RESECTION OF THE MEDIAL WALLS OF THE MAXILLARY SINUSES AS WELL AS THE OSTIOMEATAL COMPLEXES. THERE ARE EXTENSIVE OPACIFICATION OF THE SPHENOID SINUS AND VISUALIZED ETHMOID AIR CELLS. ALONG WITH BONY THINNING CONSISTENT WITH THIS DISEASE. THIS IS WERE I'M AT AFTER HAVING SURGERY FOR THIS SAME PROBLEM 9 YRS. AGO, ANY SUGGESSTIONS, HOMEOPATHIC TREATMENTS?? I'M SICK OF ALL THESES MEDS., THAT DON'T WORK.. YOU NAME IT, I'VE BEEN ON IT OR AM ON IT NOW??

So sorry about your chronic illness!! My son.22, has been sick with sinus problems since April of 2005 and has had 3 surgeries!! About a month after 3rd (Aug 2007), the congestion started all over again and he has much pressure and discomfort. He tried acupuncture in Oct and although he is not "cured", he has not developed an infection and the congestion is at least draining (not a good feeling but better than the surgery route). We just came back from Mayo clinic for an eval and they stressed the use of saline irrigations like Neil-Med which you can get in any drugstore. You may need to get a 2nd opinion from another ENT about what your sinuses are like now. But hope some of this can help you in the future. Take. care
