Chest Pain and post-nasal drip

by ciaobella, Oct 06, 2009 01:25PM
Hi,
I'm 21 weeks pregnant and have been miserable for more than a month. It started as allergies, then turned into a cold, and now I'm having chest pain (no wheezing) post-nasal drip, sinus headaches, and have a general feeling of fatigue. Although I feel feverish, my temperature has never gone beyond 98.3. What could be causing this? I don't think it's the swine flu. And I'm hesitant to take antibiotics because I don't have a fever, but I'm also worried this could turn into something else(pneumonia?). I'm also concerned about this affecting my babies (twins) since I've had it so long. Any advice is appreciated. My doctor seems to be blowing me off.

It could be sinusitis? Do you get any green coloured mucous from your nose? Then it is an infection. Otherwise you are having more problems with allergies. Try irrigating your sinuses 2 X per day with salt water. The irrigations help to clean out your sinuses of excess mucous and any infected mucous that may be present.
