Chest and left shoulder pain

Two days ago I sat down in a meeting and suddenly experienced chest pain. The pain then continued through to my left shoulder, something I have never experienced before. The pain was in my left shoulder and chest both at the same time.  I breathed very softly as not to make the pain worse. I didn't say anything to anyone as I was somewhat pannicing at the thought that I might be having a heart attack and I was embarrased being in front of a large group of people. The pain lasted less than 5 minutes approximately 3 to 4 minutes. I also recently have been experiencing pins and needles on my right side, hands, legs, foot and right eye twitching. Should I see a doctor as this may be a warning sign of a coming heart attack? The pain was on a scale of 1 to 10, about a 6 not excruciating, but enough to scare me pretty good.  I appreciate any advice you can give.

i just took my mom to emergency last night she has a fever she didnt even know about she was talking goofy and she said she has left shoulder pain pretty bad with her chest at the same time.  i really thought heart attack so im i aliittle panicky.  well we got there and her fever was 104 and she has pneumonia.  they kept her over night she s pissed but shell get over it .  but she said it was the weirdest feeling in her chest and shoulder.  oh by the way she was at a meeting also when hers started i thought that was kind of crazy.,   well hope you get better chrissy

GO see a Dr ...  I had  a very simular thing happen to me, but my heart was not racing.. Do you smoke? I wwent to emmergency room, they took exray, bottom line, i found out i have emphasema, plus sthe other symtoms you mention sound like panic attacks, which is what got me to the ER...
