Child pneumonia

My 6 year old son who doesnt know swimming has fallen in a small pool. Although the pool was not very deep, he swallowed a lot water. I took him off from the water & consulted a good doctor. The doctor took x-ray and said that my son has pnumnia(beginning stage) & started antibiotic injection. Dr. also said that the disease is not due to the fall in the water but may be he was afftected before. After giving the 1st dose itself he is recovering.

Q.1. Will this give problem in future?
  2. What precaution we should take?
  3. Is it completely curable?
  4. What is the diet you advise?

Thanx in advance for your kind reply.

Ragards,

Raj

1.  If the pneumonia is treated it should go away and not present a problem in the future.

2.  The only precautions are to follow your doctor's advice and have your child checked again in the near future to make sure the pneumonia has gone away.

3.  The pneumonia should go away completely with treatment.

4.  There is no special diet advised for pneumonia.
