Chronic Bronchitis or TB?

by mj31, Jan 24, 2003 12:00AM
I ended a bad head and chest cold about three weeks ago, but i still have a very persistent caugh and my lungs feel raw and sick.  I live in California and just returned from a wonderful vacation to Cozumel Mex, but when returning home now not only do I have the caugh and painful lungs, but I'm noticing heat flashes in my face.  My face gets hot when I caugh.  I'm also feeling a hot sensation in my right foot and it falls asleep very easily.

I want to pass out right when I get home from work sometimes because I'm just so drained with the caugh and heat in my face around my nose and eyes area.

Could someone have given me indirect contact of TB or is this Chronic Bronchitis.  I hate to admit it, but yes, I am a smoker but not lately as I'm pretty worried right now about what's going on with me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Mike

Hi Mike

I hope you are well by now. if you still have this persistent cough and it is unusual one from the regular smoker's cough, it could be coming from different sources, upper or lower airways disorders which cause this cough.
The best would be if you can record this cough when it happens, and send it over by e-mail. by the sound it can be diagnost in a better way.
as for the heat, it happens often that certain part of the body are more sensitive while coughing. normally it's the abdominal muscles but can be also facial and up to your feet. it has to do also with your blood circulation.

hope it helps. can help mor with recording.
Take care,
NK
