Chronic Cough - cause/treatment

by Shel, Nov 09, 2001 12:00AM
One of my co-workers has had a chronic cough for many months now.  On at least one occasion she has thrown up b/c she was coughing so much.  She begins coughing then almost starts choking and this can go on for several minutes.  Should she see a doctor?  If so, what could be causing this?

There could be many causes for the symptoms that you have described. It's important that your co-worker be seen by a doctor for an evaluation to determine the cause of her chronic cough and what treatment will be most helpful.
