I have had a cough for 17 years and for most of those years, doctors treated it like it was an allergy or asthma, even though my histamine challenges and lung functions tests came back normalNormal saline flush and extensive allergy tests proved negative. Doctors don't know how to treat my symptoms so they keep prescribing allergy and asthma meds.
When I've described this to physicians, they simply state, "Well - I've never heard of THAT happening before" and then it is left unaddressed. I did see a neurologist and he said that "wasn't possible".
Associated symptoms: I sweat only on the right side of my face. When I cry, I sweat on the right side of my face.
