Chronic sinusitis w/facial tingling, dizziness and forehead pressure?

by forkhorn, Mar 26, 2005 12:00AM
I am a 62 year old male with a long history of sinus
problems and overuse of nasal spray.  At times I sought
treatment for more severe infections such as bronchitis,
however I was not usually treated for sinus headaches
or general sinus attacks.  I usually have alot of sinus trouble in the spring and fall.  Over the last several months
I have developed forehead pressure and fatigue w/ occassional
dizziness and facial tingling.  My doctor wants me to get
an MRI stating it was probably severe sinusitis or a
brain tumor.  Are my symptoms typical of chronic sinusitis
that has really never been properly treated.

Your symptoms could be secondary to chronic sinusitis but are not specific for it.  Since you have had sinusitis in the past and only recently developed the new symptoms, you should definitely have the MRI and not assume sinusitis is the cause.
