Cols Sweats

by dyb, May 07, 2004 12:00AM
I am a 50 yr old male in I think perfect health on no medication.
Last physical (3 months ago) gave me a clean bill of health.

Recently, while sitting doing nothing, I will suddenly breakout into a cold sweat which drips down my face and chest. My hair also becomes drenched.

What are the possible causes of cold sweats?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Possible causes of cold sweats are diabetes, infection, tumors of the lymph nodes, or tumors of the adrenal gland called pheochromocytoma.  You will need to talk to your doctor to see if there are any other signs that might give a clue about the specific cause.
