Constantly having Bad Breath through nose and mouth.

Question

I am constantly smelling poop and as the day goes on I smell sewage. I mean the poop smell gets worse. I ask my friends and they tell me they don't smell anything. Yet they constantly act like it. Body language.I think they are being nice. Yet at work other work mates are constantly complaining about something smellling. But no one won't just come up to me and say look you have some kinda problem. One reason they highly respect me and they don't think it will change anything. I always dress really nice and keep everything really clean. It reallly baffles them that this smell is coming from me because here you have this good looking intlelligent motivational leader smelling like this. Now that i keep asking my friends and they tell me no. I sometimes think its in my mind. Then I looked up my situation and find that there are others that go through same thing. I am so confused. I started taking this new medication and thats when i started smelling it. I always suspected my breath was bad because the way people reacted to me. But i didn't smell it. But now that i am taking these meds. It is absolutely horrible. I am so scared others can smell it. It got so bad that i was at my spiritual conference and after lunch i was going down the steps and it smelled like the sewer again and i left the conference and went to go sit in my car. These meds cause mega dry mouth. I have a business and i help the community out people really count on me. I don't want to become a hermit like i did years ago when i was on similar kinds of meds. Please help me.

I have had the similiar issue. Even my best friend wouldn't say anything. Every time we got in the car, she would just roll her window down. Ive noticed when I walked into a room, people would make this sniffle noise and Im just like, if my breath stinks why are they inhaling?  No one really had the courage to tell me and I had tried everything. From the outside i look nice as well but it literally felt like i was a rotten egg by the way people act. I brush and floss everyday, tried saline flush, gargling salt water, eating parsley every morning (which helped temporarily), Therabreath, gone to an ENT (which didnt help ****), go to the dentist faithfully and  every time I think im closer, its still the same reactions. I drank Cholorophyll which helps the odor within your body. Tried green tea, black tea but NOTHINGGG. I begged God to show me a way because it was ruining my social life, personal life and romantic life. No one wants to kiss someone with bad breath that is seeping through their nostrils or mouth. No one wants to talk so close if they smell your breath, they would take a step back or casually place their index finger under their nose or flip their top lip back so it close to their now.  Ive heard people make jokes about bad breath in front of me before and was like DAMN that must be how they feel about me. I didnt want to go out with friends and if i had to be with them in a car, I would roll my window down. BUT FINALLY I FOUND A SYSTEM THAT WORKS FOR ME. Brushing my teeth with Myrhh powder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It works and I thank God everyday He took this issue away from me. I still stay away from dairy products to not irritate it but I use this powder and brush my teeth and tongue and take a drop of coconut oil an d drop it into each nostril to keep it moistened and bacteria free as much as possible. Please try this and let me know. I said im going to share my testimony because I did come here once looking for a cure.

It's most likely SIBO (small intestine bactrial overgrowth). Do you also have Rosacea? If so, ask your doctor for a prescription of Flagyl (metronidazole) - one 500 mg tablet taken twice daily for 10 days. It should clear up. Xifaxan is said to be the strongest treatment, but it costs like $1,000! Google SIBO for more info, and God bless you all!! We will beat this together :)

I do have the same problem. I have a very terrible bad breath that comes from my mouth and nose. I can't really afford to live with this. I want to go to hospital to get this checked but I dont have enough money. I even thought to commit suicide. My friends talk about this at my back. I am so helpless!!!!!!

Is your bb cured by that charcoal now?  I really need to seek help as I really don't know what to do now. I even thought to commit suicide because of this problem. i've been living with BB for 12 years now and it has completely destroyed my life. i'm thinking of commiting suicide, infact, yesterday I tried without success. i'm 28yrs and I have no social life. it started back in high school and you know how it's like back there and it continued through university. now i'm out of school and have no job. my national service was a disaster. all my neieghbours, age mates and even kids make fun of me. they sneez and cough hard when they see me coming, i'm the talk of town and no one wants to be friends with me. the worse part is the ones I trust the most keep lying to me that I dont smell but I know they do based on their behaviour and body language. I do know this because I studied social psychology back in school. i'm a very handsome, clean and likeable fellow.

Hello guys, I hope my message reaches you on time. My apologies for grammar mistakes as I am not an american nor british citizen and never had classes. 
I have a family member, who had a similar problem a very extreme case and he almost committed suicide. We were very supportive and with the right information and steps, his condition improved a lot. The reason of the odor was an extreme acid diet that apparently was constantly collapsing and confusing his vital functions. As soon he started an alkaline diet and balanced his ph, the levels of ammoniac started to go down and the BB slowly decreased. 
Stop using chemicals such as deodorants, agressive tooth past/mouth wash, anything sugary or containing aspartam, and you will speed the process of healing.

Internal rectal intussusception, Hiatal hernia, H-pylori, Tonstils, LPR, and hemorrhoids (internal and external ) are the other things which lead to bad odor. Visit a gastrologist and discuss it with him. Most probabily he will find the root cause of the odor.

You have to visit a gastrologist and ask for endoscopy. Some smells can come from liver or kidney diseases, or from acid reflux in the stomach (GERD), or gas from the stomach (LPR). If you have any tooth decay then that may be the reason for the odor.

From my experience, I think it has got nothing to do with the sinus(es) because my ENT doctor had thoroughly checked me out, I have been going for post-surgery follow-ups and he says I am fine.  I even had to take another CT scan and it confirmed my sinuses are perfectly ok. But I still get the horrible seem and I wonder why and how? I really don't know but I'm beginning to think it's coming from the bowel or stomach....THIS has really driven me crazy

Exactly all you guys have complained about I am suffering too and it has completely ruined my life. I have seen the ENT, had CT scans, I have had two surgeries of the sinuses between last year and this year (as a matter of fact, I had the second one on 30th of June this year). The surgeries are quite expensive and despite all that, I still have that sewer smell that regardless of how tight I close my mouth it still smell out of my nose. It's very depressing, I really don't know what to do. At times I contemplate suicide so I could be over and done with this torment.

It may be nasal polyp. You can identify nasal polyp through a Nasal sinus scan. You have to visit an ENT.

Hi,i have d same BB coming from my nose n mouth cos even if my mouth is closed,d smell still occurs, i started having mine after removing 2 wisdom teeth and I've had serious bad taste n bad breath for about a year nw.
I've used salt warm water rinse, corsodyl mouth wash, done professional teeth cleaning, hydrogen perioxide etc.
I wil be glad if anyone can help with possible treatment for my problem as I'm a guy in my mid 20's n dis my BB is destroying my social life. Thanks

While I'm searching through Google, I came across with this site where the same topic about BB is discussed. One member said that he tried ACTIVATED CHARCOAL, and his problem has gone. I'm gonna try this product also, (activated charcoal) hoping that my BB will be gone forever. So, good luck guys. Let's fight this disease. :)

Hi, I have the same problem with you Michelle, I've quit my job because i don't want to smell like **** to my office mates, as if they are all going to run outside the room because they can't stand the smell. I've tried a lot of remedies but nothing works for me too. I am hopeless and i feel like i'm gonna die of shame every time i go out to do some marketing or shopping. I can't even talk to my partner longer because I felt so embarrassed. My neighbors and friends are avoiding me as if I have a terrible disease that can be transmitted to them. I don't know what to do anymore. I'm always praying and hoping that one day, God will heal my disease.

Hello Michelle, my name is Dee and I am having that same smell of sewage and "ish" as one person said:-{ I have not yet found the remedy or cause of this. It is very embarrassing and unfair. I constantly talk to God wondering why he is putting me through this. Every time I talk to some one, they go to sneezing and some nose start running. I don't care how far across the room I am, when I open my mouth, it affects everyone in the room. I am a very attractive female and everyone is shocked as well as I, of this happening to me. I starting cleaning my bowel every time they get full and when they are empty, the smell go away. But everyone knows that a person will always have to eat. yeah i do get the same problem too. it is very confusing. This issue took over my teenage and young adult life. I am bout to go 30 and still wondering what this is. It really limit everything i do and it is depressing. Like you said, you are well dress and i am the same too. People cant accept it is from me sometimes due to how we present myself to society. it doesnt help with the stress, i think it worsen it.

Worst part is, i cant even sleep while any windows are open unless it is very very far from where my bedroom is. I have to shut all windows coz of the smell, it even bothers my neighbours and i heard them shutting their windows constantly everytime. 

I have also quit many job coz of it. Now i am about to have another job with this smell, that my anxiety has gone so bad i left all my friends and only communicate with them on the phone with limit until now only one left that to say hi to me every once in 3 months.

I also feel like my bowels is about to collapse coz of stress of this smell and anxiety and confusion. 

Some people (i think) react to this unconsciously, like clearing of throat (cause of dried mouth), coughing, runny nose, itchy neck and some cant stay still. 

If anyone have got any ideas please email us.

***To someone that said about yeast infection, it could be a suspect too as i have been avoiding eating alot of yeast lately and the smell lightly reduced. I replace it with rice instead.

I have had the same problem for a few years now. My friends don't say anything but I know what they are thinking. And I've started to regress at work because I don't want to be in the same room as my coworkers and make them smell this awful smell. It is literally driving me crazy! My biggest fear is that they are all talking about it behind my back, but too afraid to tell me. I did not have this problem in college. It started in my mid 20s.

If you smell poop, it could be an anaerobic sinus infection, which doesn't always include other sinus infection symptoms.

However, if other people can smell it, there could be a number of causes.  If you go to Section 17 (Revolting Sinus Odor) it will list some of the causes found on this forum.  I am leaning towards the yeast infection cause, and possibly (I won't say probably) the other meds you are taking are aggravating it.
