Cough, Runny Nose, Sinus Congestion

by MK682, Jul 06, 2009 12:21AM
I know all about the itchy bottom of chin cough. I have a cough producing clear phlegm, sinus congestion, a runny nose....

My cough wakes me up every night...I take a look at the watch, its 4AM...I blow my nose, drink water and try to elevate my pillow to prevent the postnasal drip.

I have tried allergy medication, cleaning my air ducts in the house, cleaning and dusting even better than I already do...

Nothing seems to work.

Tried an all natural saline rinse, Nasonex, Claritin, Aerius,

Never had any cough or problems before this summer.

Chest Xray done about 1.5 months ago, clear. Doc doesn't want to do one again, too much radiation!

ANY ADVICE???

First thing, go to a doctor.  You already did that.  You probably have an allergen, or more likely, mold lodged in your upper sinuses.  A saline rinse won't work, because gravity takes over before the saline reaches your upper sinuses.  A Flip-Turn Sinus Flush will work, because it uses gravity to get saline into upper sinuses to rinse out the problem

The Flip-Turn Sinus Flush is mildly risky, because you have to bend over to do it, preferably in a shower, but you can also do it outside on soft ground.
