Cough and blood in sputum

I am 55 years old man. I used to smoke  but now quit it. I had severe cough and hard to breath. Latter on very few blood was seen in the cough. I went to the hospital. They just examined my cough, x-ray and advised me to take medicine for Tuberculosis(TB). I have been taking medicine every day for a month but I am getting weaker and blood amount on cough is increasing. I don't like to eat food, my face is turned blackish and i am such  a weak that it is hard to walk. I would be happy if you suggest me the best way to do now.

Hello and hope you are doing well.

Hemoptysis or coughing up blood could be due to tuberculosis. But if it not improving with therapy, this could also be due to an infection a sinus infection or other lung infections. Sometimes trauma to the lungs can cause this or it could just be throat irritation. It could also be due to bleeding disorders. Please discuss this with your doctor am sure he will provide further assistance.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Sounds like a miss diagnosis.  You really need to see another doctor for further testing and hopefully a more acurate diagnosis.

God bless.
