Cough for the Last 5 months Clear Cough sometimes at night bedtime and morning..

I have a really bad cough. I don't smoke or drink. I have had the cough for about 4-5 months. The stuff I cough out is usually clear like water, cough occurs at night and morning like around 11pm and morning about 9am. I went to the doctor they tested me for TB told me to come back Monday 11th..Yesterday I was coughing, but I did some exercise and went to bed didn't have the cough. It seems like when I exercise or workout it goes away. I took Doxycyclene for 7 days it got somewhat better but its back now. I am 21 and never had this problem before. Nobody in my family has this coughing problem. I don't have asthma. I don't have a breathing problem. Just the cough and runny noise sometimes. I think it might be Bronchitis but not sure. The cough comes and goes. I was recently visiting Fiji when this started about 5 months ago. I didn't have any contact with anyone so I don't know what it can be.

Got a TB test done no TB in the ex-ray in the chest area.

But doctor said I might have a TB infection because of the bump. He also explained to me difference between infection and disease. He said I might have an infection.

He said they will do a spit test. My mom had the same kind of test done, she also had a rash but chest x-ray said no TB.

I don't know how accurate this test is but I don't quite agree with it. He said he will test the septum for the viruses and grow it in the lab and see what it comes up as. He also stated people who come to the United States develop allergies with a few years of living here. He said it can be an acute allergies.

I don't think I have TB infection or TB. But who knows. So just to make sure this test is getting done (septum ~spit test~).

He said might be a few causes acid reflex, alleges etc. Also the things you stated. Will try out some meds to see what fixes the problem. Hopefully I can get better I hate this cough.

Thanks for the replies..

There are several reasons for a chronic cough.  These can be from the upper or lower airways.  From the upper airways, the most common cause is a chronic sinus infection. Other upper airway causes can be nonspecific inflammation secondary to a previous infection and allergy. The lower airway can do this, as well.  This can be bronchitis, another infection or possibly reactive airways (like asthma from a viral infection).  I would suggest working with your physician on determining the cause of the cough before just taking a lot of different medications.

So I just did a workout for 15min the coughing went away.

Is this some star wars **** or what???

All I had to do was get my heart rate beating faster by doing push ups, pull ups, jumping up and down, stretch etc..

Strange but it works. But I still want to know what kind of disease or whatever this is.. called
