Could this be cancer?

I just had a cardiac CT scan and they saw a 4 mm nodule on my right lung near major fissure. I just had a chest X-ray in March 2016 and all was fine. I realize that this is probably too small to see on xray. I am 65 years old and have smoked for many years. I smoked very little these past few years. Have tried so hard to completely quit but I have horrendous anxiety. They said it was noncalcified and to have it scanned again in 4-6 months. I have no cough but do feel a little congestion on the right side. I have terrible allergies...nasal passages are always swollen and I have bad post nasal drip. I have AFib and am going to have an ablation on Monday. I am so full of anxiety and worry...and shame regarding the smoking. They set me up an appt to have it rescanned in August...should it be sooner? Also I do not think that that the cardiac CT covers the whole lung field. What if thee are more problems not seen on scan? Any response would be greatly appreciated.
